make a difference

Camp Judson is looking for high school and college-aged counselors who want to impact kids with the life-changing knowledge of Jesus Christ. You will lead, look out for and love a group of campers for a full week or part of the week, depending on the camp's format.

If you're a high school or college-aged student, counseling is a must-do experience. You'll gain leadership, communication, time management and teamwork skills that will help you succeed in any job or vocation. The experience will look great on a scholarship, college or employment application. But most importantly, you'll grow in your faith as you mentor campers. Please note that all applicants must consent to a background check in order to be considered as a counselor.

OVERNIGHT YOUTH CAMPS

Counselors who wish to counsel in a 24/7 environment may serve at Junior, Junior High, High School, Trail or Combined High School & Junior High Camp. This is an unpaid, volunteer position that begins with counselor training the day before the camp week begins (Saturday) and ends after campers head home on the final day of the camp week (Friday for Junior, June High School and Combined High School & Junior High camps and Saturday for Trail, Junior High and July High School camps).

Overnight youth camp counselors are responsible for a group of children or teenagers from the time they check in on Sunday afternoon through the time they depart by bus or parent pick-up on Friday or Saturday morning. The week you spend as a counselor at Camp Judson will stretch, exhaust and sometimes overwhelm you, but those stretching, exhausting and overwhelming moments will draw you closer to God and the community of believers serving alongside you.

DAY CAMPS

What sets our Day camps apart from the rest of our youth camps is format. Day Camp counselors are not with kids 24/7. Campers arrive in the morning and leave in the afternoon. Day Camp counselors may stay in a cabin with other counselors throughout the week or commute if they live nearby.

Day campers have the option of staying overnight on Thursday evening of the second session, so Day Camp counselors should be available to stay with campers all day Thursday through Friday afternoon.

Apply here to counsel at one or more of our winter or weeklong summer camps. If you're interested in earning money while working at camp, check out our full-time summer positions.
